European Patent Attorney / Patent Portfolio Manager (m/f/d)

The job description:

As part of a full-function IPR department in Southern Germany, you will implement the European patent portfolio strategy for a specific technology sector.
The role includes the preparation and filing of patent applications in cooperation with internal and external partners, the review of invention disclosures, claim charts and patent commercialisation.
Furthermore, you will support licensing as well as litigation activities, perform freedom-to-operate analyses and develop strategies to mitigate patent risks.

Your profile:

Academic degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, physics or similar.
Work experience in a similar role as patent engineer or patent portfolio manager in an in-house patent department.
Partially qualified as a European Patent Attorney, a further national qualification in a European country would be a plus.
Team player, open-minded, and interested in challenges in a dynamic environment in a multinational team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in (legal) English, German is a plus.

Senior IP Counsel Litigation (m/f/d)

The Role:

Based in Southern Germany, you will be part of the company’s European Litigation team within a full-function IPR department. You will be involved in high-level litigation proceedings together with external partners and will defend the company’s intellectual property rights and interests against third parties.

Your Profile:

You have passed the German Zweites Staatsexamen with good-very good results and are admitted to the bar in Germany.
You have 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar in-house position or IP law firm.
Ideally, you have some technical understanding or are able to think your way into technology issues to a certain degree.
You have a high level of commitment, strong communication skills and excellent negotiation skills.
You are a team player, open-minded, and interested in challenges in a dynamic environment in a multinational team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in (legal) English are a must, German is a plus.
